You don't blow into a kazoo; you hum. it's surprisingly effective in enabling you to 'sing' a tune wordlessly. I normally sing sharp but can produce a tune such as Auld Land Syne on a kazoo.
On the last night of Writers' Summer School 2014 the audience of I estimate 200 people were all handed out a kazoo each and encouraged to sing or rather hum into the kazoo in unison to create a choir.
I just looked on line and a single kazoo, the cheapest for a giveaway, would cost you about £2.00 each. Presumably it would be a lot cheaper per item in bulk. Or get a sponsor. Great idea to start of end a conference or after dinner entertainment.
