Birmingham has a fine university campus with grass, trees and a clock tower you can see for miles. Adults can enjoy tourist attractions including a casino, but an attraction which should appeal to all the family during daylight hours is the chocolate visit to Cadbury World.
The chocolate visit:

If you don't have the time or money for a pre-booked visit you can sill park for free and visit the shop. A teeny train runs around the top of the wall near the ceiling. The shops sells Cadbury's chocolate, souvenirs such as hats and bags and pens, Liquorice Allsorts, and Green and Blacks chocolate.
The pens were pricey and a bit disappointing as we were looking for a novelty gift. I hoped for a novelty dispenser with room for a piece of chocolate or one supplied. That would be great for restaurants which like to sweeten the bill by giving you the bill, a pen and piece of chocolate.
Children will probably enjoy the life-size model cows in the cafe. I like the fact that you can get drinking chocolate - I'm over caffeinated with coffee at home. I

What I liked most about the history is the fact that in its early days the factory workers were taught to swim. (Birmingham is known for having more canals than Venice.)
What amused me most? The chocolate teapot. How often have I read, 'as useless as a chocolate teapot'. It was one of my favourite quotes for my book Quick Quotations for successful speeches. (See Lulu.com)

I imagine this is for drinking chocolate or a chocolate sundae.
The shop is good for tee-shirts and hats for children in the Cadbury colour. Good for large novelty chocolate items such as footballs and teapots. Not so good for Green & Blacks - I found as much or more in a local Tesco Express which stocked my favourite with ginger. However, although Cadbury World doesn't have everything for everyone, I think it has something for everyone.

The Easter and Xmas seasons would be good time for a visit. They must be very popular then which is why you have to book tickets.
