Hurry For The Denbies Vineyard Tour By 'Train'

Denbies Vineyard tour
- a great day out.

Here is our guide.

Here is the train.

Close up of the vines in autumn.

Denbies Wine Estate
London Road, Dorking, Surrey RH5 6AA
www.denbies.co.uk

You can take the outdoor tour first.
The indoor tour cots £9.95 including a film, a walk past the barrels with a guided, ending in a cellar with carved barrels and a tasting of three wines.
After that you'll be too tired to take the outdoor tour, so do the wine testing indoor tour second.

The outdoor tour is on a 'train' with open sided windows, march to October so hurry if you want to go this year 2014. Wear a jacket and hood or take a blanket if it's a cold day and an umbrella if it's rainy.
I'll add more information tomorrow.
They have several varieties of grapes and last year, 2013, they were picking one variety as late as November. If the tour is no longer running, you can still walk or cycle along the public paths on the estate and finish up in their cafeteria for coffee and a sandwich and using the rest rooms.
