French word of the day: laissez faire

laissez faire - (you) allow to do

A laissez faire attitude: let them/everybody do - whatever they like, go with the flow, none of our business, I'm not bothered, don't interfere, calm down, non-interference.

I keep thinking I've listed every obviously French word or phrase used in the English language, then I read a newspaper article or find myself saying, or hearing another common phrase.

If people want to use French phrases in English sentences, I don't mind. I have a laissez faire attitude.
