Help - what happened to my travel photos? (Now Apple has replaced iPhoto.)

Apple has replaced iPhoto which affects storage of your photos. The old Events, divided by date, has disappeared.

Instead you have only albums.

So how do you hunt for a picture? Top left of your screen are arrows pointing left and right like the ones in a lift (meaning elevator - I must explain for the benefit of my numerous American readers).

When you are in the photo collection, click on the arrow pointing back or left out of the top left of the screen. That makes the whole set of photos smaller so you can see more of them.

Click a second time and the pictures shrink so even more of them can be displayed on your screen. Now this would be find if you have a 32 inch or 40 inch monitor on the wall behind your desk. But it is completely useless on a 15 inch laptop, a 13 inch laptop, or a mobile phone.

Somewhere, long ago, I had an old Apple Mac with iPhoto. Unfortunately your old machine is not supported by Apple and the software quickly becomes incompatible with all the new things they keep sending you with updates. (That's why you have to keep upgrading your machines every two years and get locked in.)
