Italian word of the day: al fresco

Where shall we have lunch? Al fresco?

al fresco - in the fresh (air) - eating outside

Let's sit and talk about Italian words used in English. We could sit in a caffe. In French as in English we use one f. The Italians use two.

We use many Italian expressions. Sometimes I find it hard to remember which is Spanish and which is Italian. Don't let that deter you. When you visit Spain or Italy, you are surrounded by signs and menus so it's easy to pick up and repeat what the locals write and say.
