Train Toilets - do not flush in station - why?

On inter-city trains in the UK you see signs on the wall above the toilet: Do not flush when train is in station. Why is that? Because the toilet is dumping the water onto the line below. You don't want smelly water landing in the station on the tracks. However, out in the countryside nobody is around to small it and the wind will blow it away.
