Pub and Pizza and even carpets in Halloween mood at Hatch End

Shop windows in Hatch End were ready with Halloween displays, those selling food or clothes for halloween and those simply hoping Halloween window displays would get attention from the intrigued and amused passer-by. Bella's Blooms celebrated Bellaween with a lucky dip and horse and carriage rides as you can see in previous posts.

Around the Corner the Moon and Sixpence Wetherspoons pub had decorations inside. Spooks.

And spiders' webs over the bar.

Kingshill Carpets, curtains, blinds and wallpapers has a spooky skeleton sitting in the window.

San Marzanos pizzeria and prosecco bar had motifs on the door and windows.

So did Tesco.
Inside, Tesco sold gingerbread men.

The chemist shop (what Americans call a drug store) had no skeletons, perhaps out of consideration for their customers.

Oddly enough, St Luke's hospice shop windows were not shy of showing skeletons.
Perhaps they thought it was more healthy to treat death as a laughing matter and not be afraid of it.

This skeleton looks glum. Maybe it couldn't find any clothes to fit.
For Halloween.
