Jimi Hendrix Museum Open in London

Jimi Hendrix, born in Seattle, loved living in London. His home opened as a museum in February 2016.

  • He died at the age of 27. Sept 18 1970.
  • Buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Renton, Washington.
  • Lived in 23 Brook Street, London, England. (Opened as a museum February 2016.)
  • Handel House Museum is next door in 25 Brook Street.
He famously set fire to his guitar on stage. You can see videos of his performances on YouTube. He is one of several stars to have died in their late twenties from either drink or drugs or a combination.

Wikipedia has photos of Jimi Hendrix, his guitars, his statue, his home which is now a museum with the plaques to Jimi Hendrix and next door to Handel. Jimi gave many interviews from his home and using photos from those interviews the museum has been able to make reproductions and search for original items.

You can visit two museums, the Jimi Hendrix Museum, and the Handel museum. Jimi Hendrix was a fan of Handel.
