The Travelling Writer

Postcards
In the Sixties as in previous centuries when you went on holiday you sent postcards home. Now you can buy or make a travel journal with a picture on the front of your travel destination, or a map of the world pinpointed with places you visited.

You can often pick up advertising postcards. Later you could make them into a collage, or past them onto the notebook as a cover.

Diary Time
Many people end their day with a diary entry. If you miss out on the evening entry, you can get up early and write, or write when waiting for transport. (If you are alone you can write whilst waiting fro breakfast in a hotel or railway station.)

Times Past and Ski Boots
Even what seems mundane now may seem significant or interesting in twenty of forty years time. I found a diary of my school holiday to a ski resort in Austria. The surprise was the old fashioned brown leather ski boots done up with laces. Nowadays ski boots would be white synthetic, mould, and have clips.

Happy writing!
