Sun Yat Sen Museum, Hong Kong, Online Preview

The Sun Yat Sen museum in Hong Kong has free admission and is open until 7 pm at weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and 6 pm on weekdays.

The nearest MTR (railway) station is on Victoria Peak at midlevel.
Directions on the site.

The museum is in a four storey building and on a Sun Yat Sen Trail around the city.

In addition to the exhibits there is an online shop. According to the online pages the shop sells postcards, a bag, origami paper and an amusing key ring which has a choice of three sets of clothes which I presume you slide into the middle or in an incorporated photo frame. What a clever idea. (You could also use this idea to personalise a key ring by adding your own clothes and a name.)

I have also visited museums and locations connected with Sun Yat Sen in Shanghai, China; another Chinese city; and Singapore.

In Shanghai I first learned about Sun Yat Sen's bodyguard Two Gun Cohen whose life story I bought on the internet (paperback). Two Gun Cohen was buried in England.

See next post for information on the museum.
