Romania, Bucharest and Brasoz, Maps and Quick Facts

Problem
Where is Romania? Where is the capital, Bucharest?

Wikipedia map of Romania. It has a small eastern coast on the Black Sea. The southern neighbour is Bulgaria.

The capital of Romania is Bucharest. Population about 2 million in 2017, according to Wikipedia using the census. Brasov is only about 250,000.

The Carpathian mountains are shown forming a reverse C or L.

The maps from Wikipedia tend to reproduce without the town names.
I have had more success with wikitravel.

If I reproduce the map large, you can see the whole country.

If I reproduce it extra large, you lose half of it, but you can read the major city names more clearly.

Brasov (the comma under the s means you pronounce is Brash - off) is in the centre of the country.

Neighbours include (alphabetically):
Bulgaria (South)
Hungary (North-West)
Moldova (North-East) (Not to be confused with the region of Romania called Moldavia)
Serbia (South-West)
Ukraine (North)

The Black Sea is East.
