Notting Hill Carnival Videos Advice - Verdict I vote for films from Nottingham

Problem
What to do to get the best out of the carnival?

Here's a video of advice:

The speaker is amusing. He tells you to drink water, wear proper shoes, not flip flops (which he mysteriously calls sliders).
Well done for showing street names on street signs.
He should go to Toastmasters or City Lit or Elocution lessons and learn to pronounce the letter T.
Interesting idea that you could pay £1 to go to the toilet in somebody's house instead of the Portacabin toilets (which I haven't seen on any video).
I haven't seen any dancing instruction either.
Yet.

Advice to others:
Don't bore every body with a person talking unless they are in fancy costume or world famous. Get straight to the people in costume.

Don't bounce your camera up and down and move it side to side. Amateur, makes you sea sick. Let the dancers make the movement. Get somewhere you can see, not back views of people walking in front.

Prepare a useful commentary, names of bands, the street you are in.
Get some aerial views, maybe from somebody's upstairs window.

Maybe I should apply for lottery money of fundign to do a proper video. Frankly, the Nottingham carnival was better organised or at least much better filmed.

I tried Vimeo. Better. At least videos started with a title and had some subtitles. I raced through three and got bored and gave up.

Finally Aug 29 I have clicked on the stills and here are some great shots:
