Check the list below. You will see Welsh names amongst authors, composers, poets, politicians, singers, writers and many more. Welsh names pop up in books and plays, and films (movies), and advertisements on cars and shop signs in Wales.
You might need a Welsh name for a character in a book, or a comedy sketch. (A Welsh accent is distinctive and can be used to differentiate one character from another. Famous characters you might wish to quote or perform on stage: Richard Burton, actor, Dylan Thomas and his poems, singer Tom Jones.)
