Banking. What is a quick deposit?

Problem
1 You arrive at a bank and want to open an account.
2 You want to pay in money but they are closed.
3 You want to pay in money at lunch time but there is a long queue.
4 How do you fill in the Quick Deposit envelope?

Answers
1 Ask your new boss. Ask personnel. Ask colleagues. Ask your home bank.

2 Collect Quick deposit envelopes from bank when they are open.
Use Quick Deposit and place in box outside the branch when they are closed.

3 Use Quick Deposit and place envelope in box inside branch when they are open.
Check lunch time queues in city branches and open an account in a less busy branch.
Or find out if you can pay money into the less busy branch.

4 Fill in the envelope, which asks for the amount deposited, the bank branch, the account number, and your phone number. If you have forgotten the cheque or the details are unclear, they will phone you to check.
Keep the tear-off slip which has the matching number. If your money is not paid in or you have any query, you show them or tell them the number and they can match it up with the envelope they received.
