Check in Online - good idea or not?

Problem
Do you check in online?

Answers
Depends on the airline. For example, you may wish to check in online for Ryanair because you can print your boarding pass which saves you time and money.

However, on Singapore Airlines, once you have checked in your seat is confirmed. You might want to switch seats if you are in an empty row and it suddenly fills up, but another row has empty seats. By waiting you still have the option of switching seats.

Your choice is also affected by your personality. According to Myers Briggs personality typing, judgers, a J type, like to make decisions and stick to them.  However, perceivers, a P type, (I call them procrastinators - I am a P) hate making decisions and like to keep their options open.
