Looking for lower hotel prices in America

Problem
There's was snow or at least frost on the ground in London England, on Feb 14, Valentine's day, although by noon the grass was green again and a couple of brave but rather confused little Daffodils have got their yellow heads up to calf height and are waiting for some encouragement from the sun.

Looking on line at some ads for hotels in Kissimmee, Florida, I see some tempting offers. $49. From $49. Even though I had no plans to hop on a plane after lunch I could not resist a bit of internet window shopping.

However, once I lock on, up op ads for hotels over $199 and up to $200, no $350. What is this, I wonder. Are those other hotels all sold out already? Or were they never available.

I am about to click off when I suddenly think, search box. Sure enough, there's a search button for from lowest price. I now have hotels at $50, not the cheapest, but considerably cheaper than before.

The company was hipmunk. I thought at first the head of the animal is supposed to be the v. then I thought it was a Far East confidence trick. Like the companies which mis-spell Wedgwood. Then I thought maybe rival businesses have bought up all the chipmunks.

My favourites are latebookings.com tripadvisor and booking.com
