SINGAPORE
I also visited The Mint Museum in Singapore and wrote about it for The British Asosciation magazine.

I remember seeing at the entrance one of the first coins, a huge stone with a hole in the middle, too heavy to carry (like later heavy gold bars).

According to the museum website, it is currently closed and in the process of moving to a new location.

I look forward to seeing it has opened again. So much more to add. Now we have online banking and bitcoins. Some places won't take cash. However, others won't take credit cards and insist on notes or coins. Where can you learn more.

Singapore has dollars, not to be confused with American dollars.
If you see the letter S adjacent to the dollar sign it means Singapore dollars.
