Colourful seats on Singapore's MRT train inspire seating plans at meetings - and co-ordinating clothes

Problem
A relative once told me that his least favourite colour was turquoise. However, he later found a favourite shirt whose red and turquoise tartan brought out the colour of his eyes and the pink of his complexion. I'm sure he would have lost his prejudice against turquoise if he had seen these wonderful seats in Singapore trains. They brightened up my evening, when I was already high from giving a workshop on Write And Share Your Life Story.

The secret of this simple colour scheme is two shades of the same colour. You can do it to match clothes and seating. Very little effort, only two colours, nothing complicated for the workers to arrange - easy to demonstrate with a diagram.

An easy solution to the problem of what to do if you have two sets of mismatched chairs when setting up the room at a meeting, just arrange chairs in alternating colours.
