Singapore's Botanical Gardens is the MRT underground railway station under the main entrance to the Botanical Gardens. If you are a tourist, on a fine day in good weather get off the train here and go up to the Botanical Gardens which is free.
Many local residents rush to work or meetings, busy talking to friends, mostly on smart phones. As a result it is easy to miss the enhancements to the huge station complex. However, if you pass this way and have a moment, enjoy this mural of a tree which is home to several birds. You find this mural ahead of you as you walk towards the Downtown line descending escalator.
If you are going in the other direction coming up the escalator from the Downtown line, the mural is on your right.
