Just get out. I hate being in a building when building works are taking place. I read that people, mindful of Grenfell fire disaster, just got out quickly.
Famous Building and Famous Restaurants
Such a pity. Wonderful parts of that hotel include the restaurant Dinner on the ground floor, the subterranean restaurant, the ballroom where the royal family have danced.
I recall the Dinner restaurant having amusing quotations on the paper covers for the napkins, and the ice cream card with 'smoking' ice.
I reviewed the food at The Mandarin Bar as well as
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and the downstairs restaurant, on Tripadvisor.
