Which Toastmasters Club Should I Visit in Singapore? Which Professions, Which Language, Which Hotel?

First how long are you going to be there, what time of year and which days of the week?

Mid-autmn you might get to try mooncakes.
Spring time you could get asked to join a Chinese New Year party.

Earlier in the month is better. Many clubs meet the first and third of the month, some the second and fourth.

Which Day?
After a few mistakes as a traveller I found you will see more museums if you visit a city on Friday and Saturday, rather than Sunday when they have shorter hours, and Monday when they are often closed. The same sort of reasoning applies to Toastmasters.

But the first three mondays in the month you an go to the vening meetings of the Toastmasters Club of Singapore.

LOCATION
You could pick the nearest club. You could pick two with a gap of time between them so you can visit both. You could pick two in the same location so that the second one is easier to find.

Budget Or Money No Object?
If you want a big, buzzing club with 50 or more people, so you have a chance to network and make friends, go to the Toastmasters Club of Singapore. It charges 20 Singaporean dollars. That includes  a couple of buffet dishes and some fruit or cakes at the break time. But no good arriving late, the food will be gone.

Manoj runs a coaching business, if you or your business need training in public speaking.

Languages
If you want a language other than English, the choice is French, once a month, where they all speak French, a Vietnamese club where they are all trying to practise their English, a bilingual Malay club, tend to alternative Malay and English. Several Mandarin Chinese clubs.

Several Tamil speaking clubs. A Eurasian club. A club meeting at a Hindu temple. Most clubs are mixed but a few have mostly Chinese or mostly Indian members and visitors.

Singapore Airlines has a club. Tight security. You need to contact them well in advance and be invited.
Clubs appeal to various professions. One is for estate agents. Another is for accountants, another for those in finance. One is for Catholics.

Others are based at hospitals. If you are young, academic or scientific, try the university Toastmasters. One club is for college Alumnis with a much older profile.

You might want to brush up on your languages.
