Enter and exit signs in Chinese

Problem
What do those Chinese characters on public transport mean? If I could recognize one of two, I would be reminded every day.

Exit

The third Chinese sign from the left (under the English) is the sign for exit, like a double prong or, if you prefer to think of it this way: six people running out.

The  enter sign is much simpler. It looks like an upside down Y. i think of it as reaching forward with your right hand across your body, but the door is big and heavy, so you put your right hand forward with the fingertips pointing towards your right wrist. Your arms create the stick sign or symbol for enter.
