Kafa Cafe has cheap Coffee, sunflower seeds and Hanoi's usual low chairs.

Kafa Cafe is a chain and we stopped at a typical cafe in Hanoi, capital city of Vietnam. The cafe has a front open to the noisy street full of motorbikes hooting. Quick service.

Durian
I ordered Durian ice cream, one scoop. It arrived in a sundae dish with a cone wafer inverted on top like a hat.

Sunflower Seeds
In a British bar or pub or cafe you might eat peanuts or crisps. Here in Hanoi
everybody eats sunflower seeds and drops the shells on the concrete floor. Afterwards the staff are seen sweeping up.

I assumed people ordered sunflower seeds. Maybe some places give them for free. In the UK some bars give free salted peanuts to make your thirsty so you keep ordering more drinks.

The floor was concrete. Upstairs is much nicer.

We flew (at our own expense) on VietJetair, a budget airline, about which more later.
More details on the Sunline Paon, Japanese run hotel, later.
