Losing Weight with step counting

If you do 10,000 steps a day, you should lose 4-500 calories a day. That means you can lose a pound in weight each week.

That's assuming you don't feel tired and then eat and drink twice as much! You have to be exercising portion control.

I can do that if I can stick to drinking water in between the three meals and two snacks (elevenses and tea time). Elevenses is a British term for a snack at 11 o'clock, half way between breakfast and lunch.

A tea time break was introduced in the UK government factories during wartime, not to raise morale, but because it raised productivity. In wartime people in the UK were not overweight. People went by public transport instead of cars, because petrol was rationed. there's a moral in that somewhere.

To sum up, the popular saying goes, to lose weight, move more and eat less.
