American and British Dates - the difference

American and British English vocabulary has differences. We all know that. But what about dates. Yes.

One more thing.
Dates. In writing, the Americans put the month first.

The British put the day first. Not always.

Americans say the numbers for the months. Such as 9/11 which is the 9th of November which seems to contradict what I said.

When filling in forms, watch out for this. When filling in your credit card numbers on forms. And when devising forms and questionnaires for other people to fill in for you to collect information.
