Tampines West is on the blue Downtown train line, and the green East-West train line. On the blue line it is only four stops to Expo (exhibition centre line and shop at Valu and Daiso, most goods only 2 Singapore dollars) where you change for one stop on the one stop branch to Changi Airport MRT train station.
