Timing your breakfast egg in a holiday home or when visitng friends

How do you time a boiled egg on holiday?

You can make yourself a boiled egg in a hotel room by buying eggs from the nearby supermarket, putting an egg in a cup, pouring on boiling water and covering the cup with a saucer.
How do you time it.

Cheap, Popular Egg Timers

Firstly, how do you time things? Do you need to buy a timer?

You can use your mobile phone as a timer. On most mobiles go to the supplied clock up. You can look for stopwatch. You can either set a time. Or start at zero and watch until you get to the desired time.

You can also buy a device for heating water which plugs into your car or hire car cigarette lighter. You need a cup and water.

Add coffee to make black coffee. For years we used to make coffee in the car when travelling.

Add an egg to boil and egg.

If you have an electric toothbrush with a two minute timer, you could have one or two people clean their teeth and have the egg ready when they finish.
