Doesn't the roof of this station look like Paddington and York stations.
Why is the statue of John Betjeman on Paddington station? Because he was a VIP in the campaign to have the station and adjoining hotel restored.
Isn't the statue lovely, so much of the era and so typically British, so natural, so unique. The hat. The waistcoat. The tie. He is looking up, admiring the structure of the roof.
