Should you look at the camera or not? it could be argued that it is more natural to look away.
However, when taking photo of a group, it often looks odd if one person looks away. once solution is to stick a coloured dot next to the camera lens, for example in a laptop. Another solution is two dots, one either side. I heard the person advising this say, keep both eyes on the lens. So I drew two eyes. I find the eyes even more effective than dots.
