While we are online - free voting systems and free polls

I went to one of the system offering polls and found that they used under license the system of mentimeter and Facebook and other systems.

The free version allowed only two questions per meeting.

Let's take as an example, a toastmasters meeting where you have eight speakers in the first half,  four more speakers in the second half and then four impromptu speakers.

Under the only two uses per meeting system, you could not vote for the speakers separately.

You either need to make the event like two events, with two different people having accounts. Or you list the sixteen speakers in one poll or vote and tell everybody to choose one form the first six and one from the second six. I had seen this done and found it confusing. I also wondered why they didn't hold the vote immediately after the first set of speakers.

I thought that the event y had forgotten to do the poll. Or that they were delayed becaue they wanted to confirm the names of the speakers and correct spelling of the names.

However, on reading the terms and onditions of the polling system, I wondered whether it was the system which was the caseu of the delay.

A different siutation occurs when you are organizing a one off event such as an end of year party or fund riasing event, or Annual General Meeting. You might not want to commit funds, even if your organization has funds, to payment every month for a service you will only use once a year and maybe never again.

At this point, you are best off finding a company which already has a subscription, or which is willing to take out a subscription, to allow you to use, or to appoint their member to use the system on that occasion, using whatever login or password is needed.
