Quick Marketing With Meetup And PR On The Internet

Meetup gogo.

How long will we be in Lockdown? How long will be working from home, or having to communicate with people in the same office by using online conference calls instead of sitting around a table together in a small meeting room? It looks like we shall need to continue to meet online for some time.

When I wrote on Meetup a post promoting my meeting of Braddell Heights Toastmasters Club on Wednesday May 13th at 7 pm on App learncool.sg , I was delighted to find I could instantly also promote it on Twitter and Facebook and LinkedIn.😃😃👌

The link took me through to twitter, and the brief link to the Meetup website was already inserted. All I had to do was agree to post. Click. Done.

The LinkedIn page in addition asked me if I wanted to write a post. I had been wanting to write promotional posts for years but not done so.

I started my first post promoting my speakers' training club.

Although I had paid, and later reclaimed from the club, the money for the subscription to Meetup for one year, I had the added benefits of quickly reaching three other platforms.

Earlier in the year my PR for the club had asked what she should do. Her job, the one she is keen on, is doing posters. It has taken me most of a year to grasp the essentials of prmotion on line, and to know enough to brief an incoming PR.

Fortunately, as Immediate Past President, I shall be on hand, on call, to help the next wave of committee members.
