How to re-order your blog posts?

  •  I first came across this problem when I tried to load up the pages of a biographical book about my neighbours. I started with chapter one, in chronological order, beginning with where they were born and their ancestors. But the blog ends up showing you the last chapter of the book, or the references, first.

You might also want new readers to be able to start at the beginning.

The simple way, most often recommended, is to re-order the posts by date. Change the date of the post. Copy the post with today's date. Delete the old version. Or find the date and correct it to the date order you like.

You could go back and insert an introduction.

This would work if you had just started a blog and wanted to put your first post second, with an introduction at the start. But if you have dozens of posts re-ordering every one is too time consuming.

I wrote in the title Introduction on my first post, and went back and edited it. However, the post was treated like a draft. The position changed to later, the date of the update!
