Romania - the country
The country name Romania comes from the word Rome from when the Romans ruled. The name has changed its spelling a couple of times, eventually going back to Romania.
You might notice some Italian sounding words as well as French. The Romanians say mersi for thank you.
Moshe Schulhof - Yiddish singer (1947-2013)
The name Moshe is Yiddish for Moses. Schulhof means school yard. Hof translates as court (courtyard). Moshe's father was a rabbi and Moshe was a child prodigy performing at the age of six in front of a huge audience. He has sung in seven languages.

Moshe Schulhof is not in Wikipedia although he is extensively written up elsewhere. Is anybody who is registered with Wikipedia or would like to be, willing to add him?
