At the back is the display of cakes. On the right, out of sight, is The Marmalade Pantry. I was just wondering, what was the name of the cafe. Then I noticed, looking at this photo, that the words, The Marmalade Pantry, are above the cake display.

Tanjong Pagar
The name Tanjong Paga is Malay for cape of stakes. The important point is that what was originally a cape, on the edge of the sea. Our taxi driver, negotiating the traffic between skyscrapers and building sites for new developments, was surprised to learn this from us. What was once the seaside, because of the successful creation of land, is now a central city area, a haven of old, shuttered shophouses and modern skyscraper developments.
Right next to the Tanjong MRT underground station is this stunning skyscraper hotel, covered in greenery. Near the main entrance you can see a series of pillars with the wire netting supporting the greenery.
(I was told about how they add the greenery, elsewhere, some time ago. I had asked how you stop the climbers from attacking the surface of the building, and preventing you from repainting or repairing. This is a problem with old buildings in England when ivy grows up and looks so attractive, until it covers the windows and gutters and drain pipes and roof tiles. Apparently the modern way is to put the wire supports detached from the outside of the building's walls, far enough in front that when needed you can move the whole structure with the greenery away to get access to the outside of the building.)

Because of Covid-19, as in all main buildings and shopping malls, you are directed around from side doors to the main entrance.
At the main entrance, you just wave your phone with Trace Together and hear the ping, and nod to whoever is standing by, the appointed staff member who checks in visitors who are deemed safe and legal healthwise.
I kept typing oasis. The name is not oasis but Oasia. Like Oh - Asia!
Perhaps they wanted to not get mixed up with or sued by other hotels which already had the name oasis.
