Travel the World By Visiting Toastmasters International Online Meetings

Which club should I visit? It depends on the hours and time zones and days and size of the meeting and what you want to gain.

Singapore Online Dynamic. Fridays at 9.30- pm, Singapore time for two hours. This club has the most meetings, one every week. Also lots of opportunity for non-members who are visiting to speak impromptu in two minute table topics. It you join this club you get about 52 meetings a year for about 100 US dollars plus twenty or thirty dollars to sign up for a Pathway.

What are the Pathways? A series, a bit like a language or O level course. You do, a series of 16 speeches, starting with four minutes minimum about yourself. Most are 5 to 7 minute speeches.

The series ends with a longer speech of about 20 minutes, or a project such as creating a newsletter, with a speech about your challenges and successes. Most people who are interested in public speaking start with Presentation Pathway. I did this.

For my second pathway I chose Humour. If you are in management you might choose one of the management pathways.

You can see that with four meetings a month, you could finish the series in four months or less. In another club meeting once or twice a month, it would take much longer. Alternatively, you could do as I do, and belong to two or more clubs.

Which other clubs could you join?

Singapore International Dynamic. Happy New year from President Edward in Belize, Angela in Singapore, Shehan in Sri Lanka, and other members in the Far East, Middle East and around the world. A cosy little cosmopolitan club.

If you want a club on Wednesday Evening or Saturday afternoon, try Braddel Heights Advanced.

Tuesday - 4th Tuesday, try TCA.

Monday - Nee Soon South.
