Uddevala is a seaside haven, in the west of Sweden near Norway. The nationality of this small town was tossed back and forward between the Swedes and Norwegians, a fishing and boat-building place. These industries declined and died, but now it is gradually growing again.
A waterside boardwalk has been built around the steep cliffsides. Maybe you hadn't heard of Uddevala before. Neither had I. The nearest, well-known big place is Sweden's second city in size, Gothenburg, also listed at Gotheburg, which has a Volvo car museum.
The smallest statues are called statuettes or figurines.
The Shell Bank Museum has shells on display in a low, wide building at the base of a grassy mound with white paths, by the river. See pictures on Tripadvisor.
