Tanglin Club Terrace Restaurant - super crepes Suzette and the best bread and butter pudding

If you are wearing shorts you cannot eat in the smarter restaurants in the Tanglin club but you can eat at The Terrace restaurant. Once you are seated, nobody sees your legs anyway.

I ordered a curry.

Later on a delicious dessert.

The piece de resistance was the dessert, crepes Suzette. If you eat upstairs in the Churchill restaurant at higher prices a waiter prepares the crepes Suzette on a trolley beside your table with the flames and excitement and drama. However, here there is no delay or distraction and the taste is equally good.

The bread pudding was the best. How do they do it so well? Do they add cinnamon? Cream? Salted butter? My family buys unsalted butter since we think salted butter suits savoury dishes and unsalted butter is needed for neutral or sweetened dishes. Whatever the ingredients are, it is even better at the Tanglin Club than we make it at home in England from leftover dried bread.

If you are a member of a club in London or another major city your club might have reciprocal arrangements. You can find lists of reciprocal clubs on a club website.
