Montenegro, the Monastery Carved Out of the Cliffside on Mount Ostrog. and luxury village island hotel Sveti Stefan

 

The name means black mountain. 

Montenegro has a coastal region on the Adriatic Sea, and central and northern regions inland. The surrounding countries going anti-clockwise from the south are Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

A former fishing village, restored to create a luxury hotel, apparently open only to residents, although you can pay to sit on the beaches looking at the houses with their red tiled rooftops.
