John Wesley preached in the UK and Georgia, USA. When not invited nor allowed to preach in a church, he preached outdoors or any place where he could collect an audience. He stayed four days at this address and preached out of the upstairs, arched window.
His brother Charles wrote hymns. His works include "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling", the carol "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing".
