Holidays and Fireworks Nov 5th, and joining Xmas and New Year festivities at Toastmasters Clubs Worldwide

This year in the UK outdoor fireworks were seen all over London for Diwali, especially in Harrow, because west London has a large multi-cultural population. With Indra are Ruth and Lorna who are members of the speakers' club committee.

Some clubs celebrate Christmas and Chinese New Year with a themed meeting when members bring along food. Others go to a restaurant, sometimes subsidised by the club but there may be a charge, so check on the venue and price. Many clubs welcome visitors to the parties, especially if its a paid for event at a restaurant where by filling the restaurant they can take over the whole place for themed speeches and socialising.
