Your Travel book as an E book and print book - how to convert it?

I got this advice from Malcolm Chisholm, a retired IT teacher. I asked what I do converting ebooks to print books or vice versa.

Conversion
He said some systems offer to convert one to another but often this produces glitches which you cannot iron out.

Unformatted
A better way is to prepare one unformatted document. Then copy it into both an ebook template and a print book template.

Starting Again
So now that I have a version, maybe I should unformat the whole thing and start again.

But if I already have an ebook version, I should send this off before copying it, creating a blank version, and loading that into another version.

Malcolm recommended using both Amazon and Lulu.com for the same book.

Use edit past special and another dialog box pops up.
Save text only. then re-format.
Special gives you new fonts.
