Bora Bora was featured on Google when I opened up in the morning at the weekend. I looked up Bora Bora in Wikipedia and read about its attractions. At the end of the page was a link to duplicated or reduplicated names.
Another whole page lists those in Australia. yet another lists those in New Zealand.
In Asia, the Malay and Indonesian languages both use doubled words for plurals. Hence some doubled words in family names and place names.
The same applies in names. In Singapore you might meet somebody called Shan Shan, which means mountains. I also know a Mi Mi.
In the UK we often add son to the end of a name. So you might find a John Johnson.
