Singapore Lockdown Loosens. What Has Changed? What is Good?

Not a soul in sight. Singapore.

That means silence.

Starbucks Allows Seating.

What's missing?

Now the lockdown is easing, shops are open.

Starbucks
According to my family, you can sit in Starbucks, ordering with a mask on, just removing it to eat.

But we are not yet back to normal. That's good. Why?

Back home in the condo, it is still reasonably quiet. The only change is the relentless bong-bong-bong of tennis balls in the morning.

You can make conference calls from Singapore to London, England on the phone, without background noise, no need to go onto Skype.

What is still pleasantly peaceful?
1 No traffic noise.

2 No shouting by swimming coaches and parents.

3 No shrieking and squealing in the swimming pool.

4 No shrieking and squealing in the children's play park.

5 No noise from neighbours greeting large families.

6 No barking dogs.

Just quiet.

Only the twice a week noise of fogging to kill mosquitos.

Then quiet again.

Inside, only the fridge, and the fan.

I can log onto my Toastmasters clubs. I belong to five.
