You can hear snatches of Miles Davis playing just by clicking on the sound icons in Wikipedia. He was in many films, such as acting in Miami Vice. In some he played an acting part, in others he played music, sometimes both.

A street where he lived in New York, USA, is named after him.

He is buried in Woodlawn cemetery in the Bronx and I particularly liked his grand gravestone with the musical notation. (Is it a well-known tune? One connected with him?)

He was influential over in Europe as well as in the USA. Over in Poland, in the town of Kielce, in south central Poland, you can see a great statue of him playing.
