Do you want to make up an international language

Do you want to make up an international language? Don't bother. It has been done already. Don't reinvent the wheel.

You have plenty of choice.

My favourite made up language in theory is Interlingua (which uses root words which are common to several languages). Unfortunately, not many speak it.

Then Ido (which is an improvement on Esperanto).

Finally, Esperanto, which is an entirely regular language with simple rules and remains the most popular.

I learned Esperanto from Duolingo. An Esperanto group in Reading has gone online. They have annual conferences in different countries (except when Covid 19 prevents travel).
