What To See And Hear
Expect parades. Three miles. Also the streets are filled with dancers and musicians and bands, sales of food and clothing, and fun.
You can see some of the dramatic, clourful costumes on You Tube, and the scantily clad revellers twerking.
Family day, for parents and children, is means to be more sedate, music without the - ahem.
Where And When?
Why is it running on Monday, rather than Friday? Because Monday is the August Bank Holiday (national holiday).. No work. Play day.
The starting time this year is 10 am. Becauase of a sound curfew, it ends at 7 pm.
