I have gone back to learning Spanish, after a year of learning Italian on Duolingo.
I have been on Duolingo some time, as I can tell by my outdated logo for them.
In duolingo.com I am learning Spanish every day. Today waiting for breakfast I was looking at Duolingo. I commented to my husband, "Fecha is Spanish for date."
He replied, "Yes. You see it on wine bottles."
You might see it in a supermarket or wine bottle shop.
You might also want to check items you bought last year when packing for a return visit, your medcines, suncream, cosmetics, energy bars for hiking and so on.
Food Gifts & Expiry Dates
I bought chocolates, which were very expensive, at Changi airport in Singapore, to take to a family dinner party given to welcome us home to London by my daughter-in-law.
However, he ponstponed the meeting. By the time we reached her, the chocolates were beyond the date.
They were not poisonous. They still looked very pretty. But they lacked the distinctive flavour.
The lesson learned is: To avoid disapointment, note expiry dates on food. Try to eat them whilst they are still fresh and flavoursome. If you have a gift of food and the hostess postpones the dinner date, explain to them that you have expensive food gifts which will no longer be fresh. You might want to eat the food yourself and buy them something new, or have it delivered to them.
