Take Language CDs such as the Berlitz Earworms to listen to in your own car or a hire car overseas. I have Spanish, Italian, Russian French, Japanese, and Chinese. I bought some and obtained others second hand.
Language Quiz Game
If you forget to take language materials on holiday, you can make up a simple quiz game. Take turns asking each other one to ten questions of the translations of words. Discuss what is easy or hard to translate and remember and why.
