Highlight Memories of the BCB London's Siprits Show, -What I enjyed, missed and Want To Try & Taste Next week and next year

The big beverage and Spirits show in the past was in Berlin but this year for the first time in 2025 the BCB London brought excitement and joy to Tobacco Dock, Wappin in London. I am still recovering, reading through my notes and looking at the lovely pictures, turning the hats and tee-shirts and tote bags this way and that.

  Alas I did not come home with any free samples of drink, but I know where to buy them in bars and retailers such as supermarkets. I like sweet sake, and plum wine. I now know I could try citrus yuzu gin in London at the Rooftop Garden, or I V Asia.

The Novelties

For novelty bottles, you can't beat tequila from Mexico, in skull shape bottles, every one different, hand painted. The company which entertained me with flavours and stories was KAH.

The skull bottles are in three colours, and all the whites look the same, don't they?. But they aren't. Look closely and you'll find that the teeth are different, the noses are different, the eyes are different, the decoraation at the top is different.

Tequila is based on the agave plant. But numerous plants can be used to mkae alcohol.

Beetroot & Bespoke Original Drink Flavours 

What do you fancy? You might imagine that a minimum order wwould be a thousand bottles. If you want 25 or more bespoke bottles of beetroot, coffee or other flavours, for an event, promotion, wedding, Xmas, stock, retail, whatever, diistil are the people to go to.

Bold Bottles

If tequila in skull bottles is not what you want, what kind of bottle would you like? Novelty bottles abound in different colours, sizes and shapes. I liked the Christmas tree bottles. You can get miniatures or large bottles. 

Places To Visit

UK

To visit a distillery in the UK, London has some, but for a trip up north there's Whitby Distillery. Yes, Whitby of Dracula fame, the distinctive seaside.

Italy

Distilleria Numa, 35 minutes drive from Rome, is a distillery with rooms, offering bed and breakfast. 

This lady is part of the family, proud to tell me that the company has been going for more than a hundred years.

If you are a keen traveller, in the business, look out for the big one in Berlin, as well as Singapore and Sao Paulo.

Next Year in London

 Next year's BCB London show will again be at Tobacco Dock, stations,  June 29th and 30th 2026.
